Was going to go tomorrow, but found out I already have plans for tomorrow.. So I'm going to head back to Hagley tonight from about 7:00 to 9:00'ish.

Attached a map of where I'll be hunting, have touched over that area not long ago with Foiled and lucked into two silver coins and a 925 ring, but now I have better understanding and control of my detector I thought I'd head back and try where we didn't quite get to.

As usual, just show up if you're keen.

So, so.. Not many brag-worthy finds. Two threepence and what looks like a half penny.. Will pop a photo up tomorrow.

Getting much faster recovery times now. Got the 'crossing' and pin pointing down-pat. Digging smaller (three inch or so) plugs.

And have the Fisher pinpointer, I realised tonight that its not a great tool. The amount of time spent adjusting it whenever I bumped the dial in the hole, plus it feels too weak to prod into soil, but yeah, it was better than nothing!

Edit: I pulled the Fisher pinpointer apart and did the 'depth mod' which is nothing more than a basic re-tune really and went from 3-7mm for most targets to 15-20mm for most targets.. The knob/dial is in a really bad place and the battery cover falls off pretty often if not wrapped with tape. It's whole design is poor. And the sound it makes, it's horrid in comparison to the Garrett ProPointer or Minelab ProFind.. Which I should've put the money towards instead. Live and learn, I guess.
