Not long to go now.. I feel like a crack-head about to get his next fix.. I made myself a 'test' find pouch last night out of one of those re-usable bags like Supermarkets/etc have, hand stitched and all.. Never thought of myself as much of a needle-and-thread fella

The question is, will the lads want to be seen with someone who does his own needlework?

At least we'll know who to give the thimble someone will no doubt dig up tonight.

Haha, it's quite a bright green too.. I'll try to hide it under my jacket, lol.

Damn damn damn....I turned up at Hagley North at 4.40, dug half a dozen holes whilst looking to see if anyone else was there. Then on about the 7th hole, I pry back the plug and...........................................SNAP!!!

You guessed it, broke my bloody digging tool! I had used this diving knife for two years now and had become quite attached to it. Was a great tool and looked menacing enough to keep the annoying brats at bay.

I know, I know, get a Lesche. Maybe this time I might have to. Had always been a believer of use what you have first.

Another missed opportunity to meet you guys!

I just finished up and got home now, Foiled was the only one I saw around.. The rest of you scared of the dark?

I found:
$15.20 spendable
One Shilling (copper 10c?)
One Threepence
One old two cent
One Australian 50 cent
One bullet casing
One toy soldier (missing a leg, head and half an arm)
One padlock
One button
Lots of cans/tabs/trash..

Will post photos tomorrow.. Also looking at heading out on Sunday for a few hours if anyone's keen, not sure where to yet though.

We were all there but all over the place like drunk possums.

I got there about 4pm with the kids, parked in the bot gardens carpark and did some scooting around with them until my wife came and took them off my hands about 5pm, and since I THOUGHT the plan was to meet near the bot gardens car park, I moved my car out and parked it on Armagh St near the bridge and proceeded to detect just across the bridge close to the car park driveway, so anyone arriving would see me. But you bastards went off on a tangent! :)

I scored $2.10 in spendies, 27c in old decimals, a couple of crap plated pendants, a plated gold button, a mowered half penny, and a 1946 3d to save the day. Started getting a bit lonely about 7.30ish and buggered off.

Guess its kinda hard to plan when people aren't showing up at the same time, I ran into Foiled along Harper Ave at about 6:45..

Didn't feel like I was there for long, lots of trash along that side and I was digging almost everything. That might be where I go again on Sunday, only got half way along.

I met up with Kiwi218 and Foiledagain, as well as a new chap who has only just joined this week I believe (sorry that your moniker escapes me my friend). I was also berated by oroplata for missing him and going off in another direction ;-) so I know there were a good few out.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.
