Finally got up to a mates place to run some dirt over me new sluice after getting permission from the claim holder.
Found a nice big boulder and started digging the down stream side and under it. Ran 8 buckets of classified material thru it and came out with my first wee bit of GOLD!!! Man do I have the fever now. Already planning me next trip over there lol. The sluice is a wee Keene A51. Got it so I can backpack it on me hunting trips.

Nice!

Looks like a lot of fun, and a little bit of hard work.

Well done Chrispy. Keep that claim holder happy. I'd be pleased with that from 8 bucketfuls. That's the good thing about alluvial gold, the more gravel you shovel, the more gold you get.

That's the funny thing, I think the claim owner is tryin to keep me mate happy as he wants to dig up all the flat paddocks on his farm as I dnt think hes allowed to touch the rivers.
