Best of luck attack that cloths-line if you have one good way to find coins and peg springs. It's all learning.
Happy hunting.

Hi goldnut, it's a teknicks delta 4000. Took her out 3 times yesterday, found heaps of stuff.
I will post pics soon

shell casings, zippo? and US button? found in the same area, also found another button but dropped out of my collecting bag, had some crossed pattern on front under the grime, suspect it was crossed sabers, I'm going to track it back down. The ring is a junker, and has had an argument with the lawnmower.
US troops were stationed in Pukekohe during WW2, to rest up and prepare for their next island hop.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on the button.
Man im sore lol

The lighter is an Evans Spitfire.

The rocks are another obsession, left is Madagascan sea jasper, middle and right are bloodstones. I tumbled these myself.

Found my first real money at a playground last night, I cleaned it up for the kiddies, only charged $1.80.lol, it is a commission payment. 5 paying targets, about 30 Junkers, though did discover a pattern of where they are likely to be. Might try a different one today in daylight, bit easier to locate target in spoil from hole

Depending on how many people have done it and trash. The best places for Goldies is about 3-5 metres front & back of swings. Work your way either in or out and if you get a strong signal over the matting with the circular holes in it check anyways as sometimes the $1 coins like to hide in those circles, needless to say but... if it's under the matting leave it there. My best finding from swings alone so far was just under $40

Harder to find these days but non rubberized Flying fox's are another good one. Slides & See Saws aren't usually that great but you never know until you try.

As you said you have noticed patterns so you're well on the way!

Cheers Guardian, I tried the 11 coil last night for first time, should have trailed it during the day, dug heaps of tabs, got 3x50c between the swings where you sit.
Put smaller coil on this morning and scored my first goldies 2x$2,10c and a 2 rupees coin, lots of market gardens around here lol.

Playgrounds are also good for rings - look under the toddlers swings about where mum or dad would stand to give the swing a push (the act of pushing sometimes slips off a loose ring). If you reduce the sensitivity right down you can get closer to any steel bars and if your detector has ground balance then you can also balance the steel out to a large extent.

If there rupees there then any gold should be of a high carat! :)

Day three of my learning curve, I'm 5.90 richer lol.
Found a playground with heaps of signals, was picking up lots of hair pins, found 3x 20c and 8x 10c.
Dug plenty of signals but a few i couldn't find even spreading it out, I'm half blind lol so I think a pointer is essential
