Quick hunt today after work at the mid tide line.....lots.of sinkers also and then a nice...old....heavy wedding band.... ;). Can't quite make out the numbers on the inside....very heavy however and not plated....

If its heavier then expected there is also a possibility of white gold.

Hint: if you have a smartphone then download a magnifier app, it will allow you to zoom in on the writing and take a pic of it. Upload this to your computer and fiddle with the image using some photo software - contrast, shadows, highlights, colour saturation etc. Its surprising how clear some of the writing ends up showing.

Good plan on the magnifier app! Will give it a blast as it seems much heavier than a silver ring of same size recently found.... ;)
