Hi there, received my detector today, grabbed the kids and went to
the local park, found 6 coins a key, bottle tops and something too big to dig.
With last scan on way home found a bullet, with a bit of research I think it is
a .58 bullet from a pattern 1853 enfeild musket/rifle.
This is cool

We have a F4 live in Porirua.
When i dug it out from about 7 inches i thought man what a huge slug

yes they are into it, we just got back from a hunt , got to
dark.we found heaps of tops, cans, scrap metal and about 18 coins, I will put up a
photo of the best coin so far

Great coin Guitard! That will clean up mint if you soak it in cloudy ammonia for 10mins and a quick scrub with a toothbrush
There's another to find and I'm gunna find it!

hey creamer there were a few skermishers around this area about 150 years
ago, maybe came from one of the battles.
hi foiled thanks for the tip, I will get some today and give it a go, will it take the copper colour off the old 10 cent peices?

id say soak it for a day or 2 with thick tarnished silver coins, then baking soda and water make a light paste then toothbrush it :) it will shine like the day it was made. :)
