we have finally shifted house and thought i would a quick metal detect around our new location. i turned on detector and walked about 3 paces when detector went off. found 3 pennys in one hole. a 1950 nz penny a 1952? austarlian penny and a a 1901 british pennny my oldest coin i have found.

no i havent dug anything around the rest of the lawn, maybe tomorrow night. i did have a walk around the lawn with the metal detector on and there is a lot of targets to dig.the house we are in has been here for 25 years before that there was a old army cottage. thats is all i have found out about the area at the moment. will go and try to clean the coins a bit.
