Taking family to queenstown on friday for two nights,will take detector ,can any locals suggest any good spots for a fossick,staying at the Coronet peak hotel so anywhere close to there would be great.....would only have time for maybe an hour or two.....cheers would certainly return the favour if anyone coming this way

lol....staff were great and price was right for 2 nights but needs major renovations done ,all the window sills rotten and moldy,doesnt get enough sun so they compensate by filling the place with convection fan heaters.Would hate too know what there power bill is.

Nah mate,didnt have time in the end,time flew by so fast holiday was over before it begun.Went out for a hunt today(deer and gold) hoping to camp out for the night but river too swift today to cross.Plan B gold hunt was promising though,will keep forum posted when we do next survey/prospect trip.
