Hoorah, after months on end of bottle tops and the odd coin, today I found a silver ring next to a boat club. A short time later I found something like a kids ring with butterflies that I thought was junk, although have just spotted that it says 925 on it although I'll take some convincing. The stuff is cleaning now and I'll post a photo when I can.

Yip the first real rings bring a big dumb grin for sure. Well done! I keep all the junkers as well some of them are pretty cool others make you wonder who the heck would buy them and is that the reason you found them buried in the first place.
Good effort, keep it up!

And here they are. I cannot read the hallmark on the 'sea themed' ring, but the other one clearly says 925. I'm not sure what the heck it is though...

If someone could tell me how to make pics show in my post, rather than requiring folks to download it, I'd be hugely appreciative.

ShoreScot - you have to reduce the size of the pic for it to show without downloading. Here it is reduced to 800x600 and 212KB (colour adjusted as well). Any photo software like Picasa etc can do this for you easily. Alternatively you can use an online storage facility like Photobucket or Dropbox and link the URL using the picture button in the menu above.
