Heya Guys!

I have to part with my one - the Monstri-10 that everyone is using and the one i recommended to everyone.
The reason is simple - my one has a Pipe on the end with Inside Diameter 30.7 mm, and when i ordered a lot for my team all got 32mm and welded stainless steell handles with 31.9 Outside diamter to fit perfectly fine . i got one as well.... and can not fit in mine.
UserPostedImage
Depth 120mm (4,7")
Height 270mm (10,63")
Hole 10mm (0,4')'
stainless steel sheet metal 2 mm
Weight 1,27 kg (2,8 lb)
Width 204mm (8")

The only thing with all scoops is when you do ALOT of detecting (like i do in Clay) and if you put too much force- you will snap the handle :

Happened to all people and ther eis no way to avoid it :-), Treasure seeker broke, Shilo did.

So i am ordering one with 32 mm for my self and gladly will sell of my one to anyone for 250$ with a current fiberglass handle attached.

the way it is calculated is :
Item: $145.00
Shipping $25.00
Total $170.00
170.00 USD = 218.390 NZD
+ you can only pay him with western union or money gram and it is about 40$ when ordering one.

Please contact me asap as i will need money fro ordering a new one :-)

What??? are you trolling again???

If you knew anything about these scoops you would know that the shafts are not supplied. The wooden handles are from hardware stores like Bunnings, or Mitre 10 etc - they are standard shovel handles. The handles breaking has nothing to do with the scoop design and just goes to show the forces involved in using them.

Breaking can be reduced by making sure the grain is orientated so the edge of the grain runs forward and back. Also keeping your foot on the flat back of the scoop as you start to lift takes a lot of the strain away from the handle. I've only gone through one handle and I realised afterwards that I had the grain at right angles to the scoop instead of parallel.

I'm with Drunkbrother here - the stainless Stavr Scoops are the strongest and best designed beach scoop available, checking on the other forums and reviews will find next to no complaints with the Stavr design compared to the other choices out there. A good strong and well designed beach scoop is much better then a spade on wet sand and is a necessity when in the water.

a piece of stainless pipe would do a better job than wood and probly weigh the same, just weld a bit in simple as, or a alloy handle and just bolt it to the scoop dont bother with wood handles. are you getting rid of a scoop ?
