hi all, ive got the use of a garrat scorpion just wondering if anyone has any useful tips on using ,mainly looking for gold .owner didnt have much succes with it so ive watched youtube clips to get basics on it but any other info would be great cheers.

the manual for the stinger is easily downloaded, when i looked at buying one i did take note that even the manual recommends when looking for gold turn off the discrimination.

some people feel the 705 is better than older vlfs like stinger,eureka, being all rounder and VFLEX (better signal/noise), but i'm curious if the 705 actually has full analog sound or just tone or no tone, which to me would be poor for gold.

the gold bugs are hardest to find second hand but may be best of the lot
