HAS SOLD Thank you :)
Hi guys, Up for sale is my old faithfull GP 3000. Has found me many ounces of gold over the years.
Very Good used condition. Has the usual scrapes & scratches as you would expect for a used detector but the control box has always had a cover on it & in almost as new condition. Set up comes with all standard items from new plus I am throwing in an external speaker with built in signal booster & a spare battery, a copy of Jonathan Porters DVD "Unleashing the GP Series" 3 hours of hints, tips & knowledge of getting the utmost out of the GP 3000. Also a DVD by Doug Stone on "Mastering The GP 3000".
I am wanting $2,650.00 for it if anybody is interested here on the forum. I am also putting it up on trademe for $2,850.00.

Thanks :)

JW :)

Hi JD, I have a GPX 4000 & a GPX 4500 so the GP 3000 needs to go. Still a very capable detector & very suited to NZ conditions. I still miss its sweet audio tone on gold. I am continuing to pull gold off old patches with the 4500 that I was no longer getting with the 3000. Technology.......At a cost of course. Just take a look at the price of a GPX 5000

Gold I found yesterday arvo for 4 hours detecting. 4.14 grams in 9 pieces off old ground

Good luck out there

Hi there

How many grams of golddust in a bottle are required for this to know its there? How small a nugget?

Is the coil usable in (creek) water?

Cheers

May your marketing be fruitful. If I lived down south I'd buy it yesterday, but alas, as you know, there are limited opportunities up here.

Good to see you are still turning up the goods.

Hi there, The smallest piece of gold I have detected with the 3000 was .04 of a gram. That is half the size of the smallest piece in the above photo. Thats pretty small in my book. As to how many grams of gold dust in a bottle.....I have no idea. I dont come across bottles of gold dust out in the field, just lumps of gold. In the case with the 3000 the smallest being, as I have said, .04 of a gram. The coil is water resistant as in wet grass or shower proof but I wouldnt go sticking it in/under water. You can get a water proof coil for it though from coiltek. I dont detect in creeks or rivers but up on mountain sides & dry gullies & old sluiced workings. The great thing with the minelab PI's is that you can get a huge range of coils for them. Depending on where you are detcting or how big or small the gold is in an area & how deep or shallow or how bad interference may be.

Thankjs

JW :)

Hi there Garry, Nice to hear from you. Yes detecting in Coro drove me nuts. Nuttier that I am. With the dense bush, steep gorgy gullies & all the metal crap littered all over the place from the hard rock miners of the early days.
Yes I am still getting my share of the yellow stuff I just dont post my finds on this forum any more.
You have been getting some nice colour. Good to see. Keep it up. If you head down this way give me a PM. I have a couple of spare detectors if you are keen for an outing.

Good luck out there

JW :)
