my son in law started new farm job, so i thought i would go and do a little detecting around there house. found my first 1944 half penny. would anyone know the best way to clean it? cheers pebeau

i just use warm soapy water for copper coins now!wrecked to many trying other methods lol.

toothpaste works quite well. I tried hydrochloric acid...... big no no.
