Hi Folks

I know some of you know about the " Gold Cude " . For those that don't.

http://www.goldcube.net/

I run my own Gold forum, which is mainly populated by Americans. From time to time a few Kiwi's showed up. But these days
its mostly a USA thing.

A few years back a guy joined using the Forum name, L'll Twisted, that was Mike Pung the co-inventer of the gold cube. He had done a trip to
Lake Mitchigan in the States and found that he was losing most of his gold as it was fine gold. And a conventional sluice just wouldn't catch
it. He had to find a better system. He was directed to my forum where I had done a series of posts " A Treatise on Fine Gold Recovery".

And he found his answer to his problems. Turns out he was a Master Craftsman of wood and one of his pet loves was making twisted wooden spiral staircase hand rails. Anyway he contacted me by email, asking if he could further my idea's in a commercial application. He had made up a prototype which he took back to Lake Mitchagen, and voila, it worked. I said, Mike go for it, there is no patient. I just used the same idea as the Shetland Island Blacksanders on Rahui Beach, Charleston. One cannot patient the process, but one can patient the end design if it is unique.

And so the " Gold Cube" was born. My name features on many American Gold Forums either as Trev or Kiwigold in relation to the Cube, and Mike has recognised my input on them.

They are now recognised as the ultimate in fine gold recovery, and are sold world wide, even in NZ.

Anyway a few months back, after an absence from gold for about five years. Had been there done that. I thought right I will return to gold but only as a fossicker. Mite get me a Cube and just do a bit of moss washing or similar. Emailed Mike and asked him for a price delivered to Westport NZ. Thought I mite get a discount of some sorts. Well Mike replyed within a day. Trev we would be honoured to send you,
" A Gold Banker" the Hi Banker version of the Cube. I have one here with your name on it. Give us your address and it is on the way.

Buggar I felt very humble. A week and a half later it arrived, and with the stainless steel mesh. I was over the moon.

I had some home runs with it, and tested it out. Damm he took the concept beyond my wildest dreams.

It was through Mikes so kind venture, that bought me to finally join here and share my knowledge I have gained over the years, and a few locations, possibly some more of Kiwikeiths secret possies. I have after all been prospecting and dredging around the Buller and Reefton for more years than I can remember. It was Mikes Kindness that has bought my love of gold back, and he reaffirmed my faith in the generosity of many of the human race, particularly those of us in the gold game. We are after all a band of men with common interests all on an exciting adventure in the pursuit of gold.

Cheers Trev aka " The Hatter"

Damn Hatter, you're going to get everyone's gold fever going again.

Not so good considering its nearly winter. It's been pretty mild down here. I've even got in 3 stints in the creek this week up to dark. after 2-3 hours in the water it's been very refreshing. Today i'm going to upgrade my suit to 10mm on the legs as a 3mm just doesn't cut it. So cold out in the gorge that the sandlfies have disappeared.
