I found about 6 or so different sliver coins, sixpence, threepence, metal detecting few years back an few other slivers. are they worth anything or just hang on to em

If they are indeed proper silver then do some research to see what the silver content is and the scrap value for that particular coin and if they are indeed 5-% silver like pre 1946 NZ silver coins or have a higher silver content like some countries silver coinage then they are actually worth quite a bit just for the silver.

If they are in excellent condition then grade them according to the coin catalog guidelines for grading to see what their grade is then price them under that grade - that is NOT the price you will get but it is the price you might expect to pay if you wanted to buy it. You might get 50% of the catalog value for a private sale.

Value depends on condition and rarity.

I should get some photos up of them. found em plus heaps other coins, with my bounty hunter iv. I think 1912 is the oldest one I have.
