just want to know if any one has been into moa hills , an seen the old gold relics an tailings there? where the little pommy an the pomahaka meet. with the water race that I think still flows. .. I just put this in the wrong place, should be in general. thanks windows 8

That would be the location of Junction Hut etc. Starting to get a bit late in the year to be heading up there, but a lovely spot

As my cobber here said it's getting a bit late to go up to the junction, you may get stuck at the hut for a while if the snow comes in, the road get's very slick even with a little rain. Recommend the best time of year is late summer for up there, water nice and low and it's warm, the Pommie is subject to a radical rise in the water level if a thunder cell has developed up stream, best to go 4x4 in a convoy of two plus.
