evening people
im new to this forum and hope to make my new home here
i recently moved back to N.Z after living in the US for the last 13 years
i live in south auckland area and love to detect the beaches..usually clarkes beach area or around kawa kawa bay areas
i brought with me a pioneeer 505 detector with 12 incch,8 inch and the 4 inch sniper coil..but found myself getting killed n the sand so i purchased the mark 2 beach and land detetector
brought it from a dealer right here in south auckland for 900 bucks
its a P.I so i dont get creamed in the sand now
i have some reading material i also brought with me from the states by a man named Dan Hughes..he runs a website and has some very interesting podcasts packed with useful information ...Google search him if interested..
i found it difficult to detect around the USA because of all the rules and regulations and love being back home in good ol Manurewa
If anyone wants to jump in on a beach hunt throw me a mail or drop me a line here.
unfortunately since i was gone so long my drivers liscence has expired and have to resit it again :-(
but if anyone wants to go for a hunt i work every other weekend and have off days during the week...perfect for detecting..usually get the whole beach to myself
anways enuff dribbling on about me..
thankz all

Hi Martinc

There is a detecting club in Auckland if you need the details, they are in the forum somewhere. They meet every month in Mt Wellington and do a club hunt every weekend. Welcome home.
