Thanks for the info. Back in Auckland now. Out at Takapuna Beach last night & this morning. Few coins & normal beach rubbish!
Paihia was beautiful, likewise The Bay Of Islands

Yes the Bay of islands is a great place with many detecting oportunities. I dont buzz Paihia beach as most finds there are minimal tourist drops. I do know that its detected freuently. Im usually at the surrounding old time spots. Glad you enjoyed our kneck of the woods, happy hunting out there.
