Well there was nothing worth posting by way of an update. Not a solitary fork was found despite a pretty exhaustive search, though Oroplata did score himself an immensely heavy rusty iron log splitter. On the coin front I dont think anybody found much of note, I got a few pennies including a very worn young head penny and two silvers, a shilling and sixpence both NZ types. Apart from myself and Oroplata as just mentioned, Ash T and Kiwi218 made the effort, the latter giving me a good opportunity to put a face to a familiar name. Many thanks guys. I know that I was first to leave for home and so I'm assuming that you didnt clean up in my absence?

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

You forgot the tent peg I dug up from the rugby field :)

After you left, I found a nz silver shilling and a pretty cool/chunky .925 silver ring.

So not too bad.

I was all ready to bring the ring to the club meet but it never happened?
