Where can you dredge if you dont have a permit? What are the laws using metal dectors?

1. you can't dredge anywhere. legally anyway. unless you have a very kind friend with a claim and they let you on that.

2. the laws for detecting haven't been invented yet. i'm sure as gold prices climb and more people get detectors that these laws won't be far off. in some countries you can get busted just by having a detector on you in the wrong place/wrong time scenario, if you are unlucky.

Where to dredge with no permit ? Small dredge, go bush where you think people won't find you ! Metal dector laws, common cense.

There's no specific detector laws, but they're covered under the laws than ban walking along and picking up a piece of gold from a creek and walking off with it. Fossicking, in other words.
