..... In my search for a new detector it's down to two.... One of which is the Deus....I have found the Aussie dealer and a Finnish dealer (good for buying in Euros) but would prefer to give my money to a Kiwi.

I think you will end up with the only XP detector in NZ! Doubt very much there will be a legit NZ agent yet, which is a pity as from what I have read I think all the XP's are bloody good machines and would love one myself.

They are available in the US now. One retailer is Big Boys Hobbies who have a good reputation on the American forums. Not sure how the price stacks up to the European outlets or if they ship to NZ.

I was going to PM you re an idea but might as well post here... more might see it :)

How about you arrange a day/weekend in Thames (lots of virgin ground/beaches) for anybody to come and play with the Deus. There are a few detectorists from around here (Thames, Corro, Waihi, even Tauranga and other places within an hours drive. Might be worth the investment in time, or just me will be fine in mid January :)

Ok that sounds great Mickey.. I reckon the place should be the tennis courts in Victoria park, just past the miniature railway, opposite the school of mines . Easy to find, lots of trees for shade, lots of coins to find and lots of parking. PM me your mobile no and I'll text you mine... in case you get lost :)

I had to pull out for medical reasons and no-one else seemed interested so I called Mickey and explained so he will arrange another date and time. He seems like a good guy :)
