thinking of leaving this thursday night coming back on monday. have a few places in mind one is down in alexandra the other up past macetown (long walk in though running a petrol rav4 at the moment and don't fancy sucking water into the engine).

You need to bear in mind that the Arrow from the Kawarau River right up to & above Macetown is under claims. The only spot you can legaly go is the recreational panning area from just below Arrowtown & up just past Saw Pit Gully. Please take note of this & respect the rights of the claim owners who have spent thousands of dollars to claim their areas. You will be stealing their gold other wise & you may pay the price.
