Good stuff Roy.
Buggered my back at work last Thursday, so can't get out. I'm beginning to suffer the dreaded MD withdrawals.
Resorted to getting my "fix" off Youtube instead...........but it's just not the same!

Gorgeous looking florin. Is the propelling pencil gold??

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

I like the silver coins and the pen - all excellent finds.

I have no idea how far the pen dates to but I think it must be late 1950s or early 1960s though it could be earlier - or later. I think that ball point pens were first patented in the late 1880s and perfected in the late 1930s by a guy called believe it or not 'Biro'

I noted one of the pens passed in at eBay auctions for a little over $8 US - if that is all I could get for one I would be keeping it as I reckon its curiousity value is heaps more.
