Looking for digging buddy's around Queenstown! - Fossicking/dredging/detecting

Hi all,
just wandered if any body is interested in going out for a dig around Queenstown/ cardrona / Wanaka ect. I have a few good spots about the place and its a bit more interesting to go dig in a team sometimes, would be nice if someone out there wouldn't mind letting me have a go on a claim too - sure we could come to some sort of agreement :)

I usually sluice and pan a lot but am in the process of getting a detector. I am really keen on putting a lot of hard digging in over the day and occasionally shift a fair few meters of dirt, so it's not really a relaxing day out more rewarding...

Also some of the places I go that produce colour have never been trodden for many a year and are prime detecting spots.

i'm in the queenstown area.

i am struggling to get out every day like i used to due to work.

i work for myself. usually can't go too far unless its the weekend.

keen to join you if you want to try some of your spots. can give a few pointers.

wouldn't say i know everything there is to know but have been at it for a fair time now.

don't worry, i won't let out any secret locations if we strike a bonanza!

Hi Gav,

Myself and my flatmate have recently starting prospecting in the Queenstown area. I have a sluice ready and roaring to go!
Will be heading to 12 Mile Creek tomorrow or the Arrow (Haven't decided yet). PM if you're keen to have some company sometime. Would be good learn from more experienced prospectors.
