Hi wish men of metal detecting I have a question. I use my detector down the beach a lot should I be worried about the salt air getting in to the works. Don't want gold bug be coming rust bug.

kiwi218 if you cant fined a cover for it try a clear plastic bag and wrap some black tape at both ends or look up some metal detecting shops ///like minelab// gold hunter detectors // garrett//minersden// coiltek make detecter coils//whitesmetal detectors // www.gold seachaustralia.com all these shops have accseors for detectors and alot moer bits @pieces to get to these allways put www. ///// name .com .au hope this is of help to you if you have trouble contact me on this site EXKIW 123

I use a disposable food cover bag (medium) available at the supermarket. Has an elastic opening for going over a plate of food. Use once and throw away.... Or a clear shower cap if you want something tougher.

I use a sandwhich bag now and then if need be. Especially if theres alot of salt spray or light rain. Tape it off carefully so no water runs inside.
