dont worry guys i made the decision, 15 degree riffles 1 inch high with a half inch lip 2.5 inches apart and got some punch plate 300 long for the front, also some small exspanded mesh for on top of miners moss mat. should do the job :) will upload photos on friday when i weld riffles in place :)

gold is heavy and goes to the bottom quickly, length of box and slope, in my view, is the most important decision for trapping gold, in particular the fine gold.

i agree totaly also water pressure if its to fast youll lose gold, my riffles were just filling with fine sands as it had mesh as classifier and it was way to high and creating slack flow, so ive totaly changed it closer to keene desighnd riffles. longer the box the better to, and keep to the rule of angle on box of 1 inch fall for each foot of box i think it is.

i dont sit my dredge on river beds it has to be in the water to run the power jet, might be ok on a venturi dredge but not on a floater the box is set in a certain spot as it always sits the same in the water :)
