It would be interesting to see if anyone has been approached by a new member offering US dollars for metal detectors.

This members grammar is indicative of Mr Metalprobes grasp of English but I do not think it is him. This guy offers topay in American dollars and claims that he is in a country where everyone is poor and he wants to buy cheap (very cheap) metal detectors - he has offered me $900 US for my GP Xtreme PLUS Gold bug thrown in.

He is making these offers from the Sudan!

At this stage my guess is that the next thing he will want will be my bank account number so that he can pay haha!

I am having fun with him - its a boring night and I am not in the hills so I might as well enjoy the entertainment!

At this stage his offers have gone to $900 US for both then he points out one that sold second hand on Ebay for $1645 US and tells me that because there is no warranty he will give me fifty percent of that.

Maybe he wants the detectors for clearing minefields

This guy also lies to get his message across - he says he is from Sudan and writes using extremely poor grammar and confusing statements and when I tell him I am going to have him investigated by Interpol as the possible perpetrator of a scam his grammar becomes perfect and he admits to being a Postgraduate.

He has also only joined this forum today.

An interesting character but obviously a dubious one into the bargain.

If my guess is correct he (skool is his forum name) is right here in Kiwiland making himself out to be a poor and destitute Sudanese who is playing on sympathy to get something for nothing then when the conversation gets embittered he then betrays his true abilities...one to be wary of methinks - a user who wants something for nothing.

This is one of his letters

'u seem u r looking for a high price, if they paid for themselves so y looking for high price?
im not going to pay much money im looking for detectors in reasonable price if not cheap
looking ffor used detectors or dtectors that people get poored from it, or they dont use it too much
and that is make them cheap
im far away im from sudan where money is a probelm'

This is his second to last - his last one merely said 'It is you who are the liar" - the pot called a new kettle black!

'i did not say that im not going to pay before u send the detectors, i already knew that people pay in advance
but my issue is that we did not make a deal so we talk in the payment method ?
dont say interpol , investigation, dont threating me im well educated i have a postgraduate degree in computer sicence'

I did note the grammatical anomalies above but regardless of that think he may be here in NZ trying to fleece us suckers. As for his post graduate degree in computer science - I nearly bought one of them from an offshore website except to hell with computer science - I was going to get one in Nuclear Physics so that I could be New Zealands answer to the 'Radioactive Boy Scout' and build a nuclear powered jet boat!
