Hi there Moonlight Picker, Do you have a claim to operate your dredge in?? If not then you at least need to make sure you arent on some one elses claim. There is very little around QT that isnt claimed.

Good luck out there

JW :)

To put a photo on and I daresay my instructions will be garbled and as clear as mud!

Write up what you want to write up then down in the left hand corner click the 'attach files to this post' box to put a tick in it
Then click on 'post'
This will bring up the department where you insert your photograph.

Click on 'Choose file' and then select your photograph and click upload.

When you have finished uploading your photos simply cick the word 'Back' and Bob's your uncle...hopefully...maybe...perhaps!

To put the actual photo on then resize it to less than 500 what ever it is...say 450 by 400 or whatever. That will give you the actual photograph for people to perve at rather than words to click on.

Hope that makes sense sort of!

trust me it does get easier with experience.

i never seem to stop learning.

there's always spots though that should have gold but don't.

you just have to wonder if someone else has beat you to it, or its just not obeying the laws of where gold is meant to deposit!

Hi all,
I had my week down at QT dredging & found the mother load!,,, of stones , rocks & gravel,,, dug a hold about 13ft deep,, three days later & found the bottom! One thing though I'm impressed with my Keene dregde, in catching fine gold. Because thats all we where getting, I meen reel fine.
One of the days I was having fun, I jumped in to the hole & I thought hum thats cold jump out & warmed up,, jump in & said bugger this, its to cold for me!!!!! I then realised my bloody zip was broken again, Buggar!! So that day we pulled the pin and went back to one of our old holes, alot easier,, found some colour nice,, & guess what, my zip went pop again HA, HA what a week hard work & a good laugh. beats working A

Hi Picker, the water on the moke wasn't cold, must be your suit, maybe you need a thicker one or try some lycra compression gear under wet suit. Bloody gold is never where it should be and only where it is.Some times their is just to much gravel mixed in with our colour. When is your next trip down

Hi All

Once again poped down to QT, drove down on friday , stoped at Omarama for the night, at the holiday park. PS the lady was very nice because I didn't have my sleeping bag, it was at the hut, bugger! , So the lovey lady went & found me some blankets Nice A! It was good, I didn't have to shit the bed in the morning got up about 8 ish , poped over to a cafe & had some breakfast & filtered coffee, nice filtered coffee, it was real good, drove to Cromwell, restock provisions milk & eggs. arived at the hut drop my gear off & down to the dredge, chuck my gear on & went to work, lol. about 2pm the sun started to hide behined the hills,, so I think time to get out. check the boxs. The top mat had same colour yar ho! So still same good light I thought, hay go for a walk, so pop down to a small creek & found same crakes but no luck, Back up to the hutt & cook up a big T/bone eggs & hash brown yum yum, still early so I thought I might pop back to QT, Had a look in same shops & to a bar for a beer or two, No a bad night. The next day it,s a bit cloudy. jump in the water, brrr its abit colded. worked to about 1.30 where the pump got blocked with old bloody didymow, so pulled the pin. the big job of packing up. Cleaned out the box & started stiping the dredge down, pulled the motor off etc. Cleaned up & all Good to go, down the track all good, untill, I tired putting the wagon in to 2 wheel drive, yep it would go in, Beep Beep think. It nearly wouldn't go in what a relief, So that's that now winter's coming, untill next summer, we will try it all again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW THAT THE MOTHER LOAD IS WAITING FOR ME SOME WHERE!!. LOF
