This is a small little weight (15lb) trommel clasifier that I have been working on this winter.
It's not done yet but I thought I would see if anyone had any suggestion for it.

Nice machine, should work well if the frame is sturdy enough. NUGGY

always good to see some ingenuity.

do you think it would be a good idea to have the larger material fall out the other end. i'm just thinking that otherwise you are going to have to shovel all that lands at your feet away all the time if you move a fair amount of dirt.

how do the batteries cope when the thing is fully loaded with the weight of the water and material?

it might cope better when loaded with some good bracing.

just some ideas.

i've heard of people in years gone by with similar machines made from old concrete mixers.

keen to see it in action out in the field.

It should fit in to the hoper on my highbanker so it will be 2 ft off the ground, so if my tailing pile gets higher than that my arms will be to tired to do any more shoveling so no problem there. As for batteries those little batterys are
only 5 amp hour rated but I have a couple of 1220 amp hour batteries so I'm not to worried there.
I'm still working on some bracing for the frame, have a couple of idea but I keep changing my mind on them

Did some more work on my Trommel this weekend, so I thought I would make another little vid and show everyone. I put the spray bar on, did the wiring and hooked up the speed control

Yep, that works really well - love it, gotta make one might be a while though with the size of my to do list. Then there is the risk that she will recognise her old favourite pot too. Will have to work on it and start collecting stuff. Thanks for sharing - NUGGY
