Hi Guys, Went away last friday after work for the weekend to check out some new ground. Walked for bloody miles. Tried several coils on my GPX 4500 with the best results from the minelab commander 11" mono. That coil seems hard to beat. Gets good depth on the small gold, which our gold seems mostly to be.
The other coils I used was the little coiltek 10 X 5 mono which I got one piece with poking it in amongst the tussock. The other was a nugget finder 14" mono which I got nothing with. If there was slightly bigger gold than what I was getting with the 11" at more depth then I am sure the 14" would have got it.

Ended up with only 6 bits for the whole weekend. One on friday night, one on saturday & four on sunday afternoon.
Saw some awesome country though & if your arent out there looking then you aint going to find anything.

Good luck out there

Thanks Steve, You are welcome. How's your dredging coming along? Be nice to see some others yellow up on here & the stories to go with it.
