Yea, I think everyone was on holiday when I was up there. Most seemed to be at st Kilda when i went there for a swing. 2 old 20c an old spoon and a good pair of scissors is all i found. just to many people. Heading to central towards end of week as i have a grandson racing at the speedway in youth saloons and may hang arround the area for a while after that
Cheers and success for 2013

That's a shame would have been keen, only seem to be a handful of us out this way, then again with my coil I'd have to work twice as hard as anyone else (not that I mind).

How did you go out in Mosgiel ?

A few coins around showgrounds, had to use just a screwdriver for recovery as the few small plugs i had dug showed up wilting in the heat.
Best find was a mans wedding ring, i was told he lost it just a few days before and was shown roughly where to look and about 1/2hr later i found it in long grass, I handed it in to the secretary who contacted the owner then 2 days later this very grateful guy turns up with a large box of biscuits and a very emotional story to tell.
Yea so that was my best find

Well done with the ring!
big area to cover and probably not an easy task with the current heat!
