hi guys can anyone check the price of a rail trip from greymouth / ch/ch for 2people around 30 jan 1213 the price we have been quoted is $154 per person=$358 oneway we also in tendto go by train to Nelson but need also a stop over ch/ch motel close by railway station or is just as easy to drive from greymouth /ch/ch also the price of petrol thanks GUYS ex kiwi 123

kiwi you can drive from greymouth to CHCH in about 3 hours and it wont cost you anywhere near the 154 for petrol...

And there is no train to Nelson. Tracks were ripped up years ago and they didn't link up with the main trunk line. There is one between Chch and Picton via Blenheim however.
