Hi guys, Here are some pics of Xmas days highbanker operation. My wife & I packed a pinic lunch & headed off to a secluded spot for the arvo where I set up the highbanker about 36 feet away from the water & dug in to some exposed schist. I did a few sample pans before I chose this spot. I got half a dozen colours here so thought I may as well set up there & give it a go.

Great looking high-banker set up John, and though not a huge return - probably a damn good hourly rate though :-)

Hope it was cooler there than here mate, wouldn't be keen on shovelling in the sort of heat we've had over the last week.

Did you get the 5hp Honda that didn't want to start sorted out?

Hope you have a great 2013 - Nuggy

Certainly a nicer spot to spend a bit of time than the Coro bush. Good to see your efforts are bearing fruit and thanks for the posts.

G'day Nuggy, thanks mate. Made it myself. Powered by a little light weight 2.5 hp 2 stroke. Just needs to run on idle to operate & goes for a few hours on a tank of gas. Good on idle too as being a 2 stroke it screams its guts out when you crank the revs up. Which is what I have to do when I use the 2" suction dredge set up on it. Like in this operation.

Yer it was pretty bloody hot here as well xmas day. Has been hot the last few days but a bit cooler today.

I am about to strip the carby down again on the 5hp honda to try & sort it out.

Have a good new year.
