Hi guys I'm looking for a set of pontoons at 800x250 roughly so if anyone has them or knows where I can buy them... I'm actually posting for my partner so this next bit will sound rather thick but he wants the ones that look a bit like a pencil or like down pipe of those dimesions with a pointy end cap? Sorry for the rambling. Any help over the moon appreciated.

Em

Hi, there doesnt seem to be anything suitable available over the counter at a reasonable price for small pontoons but you could try round 20 litre containers. They're about the right size, tough as hell and usually free. I've also seen boat fenders used and 10' or 12' PVC pipe is ok if you glue an end cap on the downstream end and cut the upstream end at an angle then blank with alloy plate or fibreglass...have posted a pic of my dredge floating on recycled 20s,from local AG contractor.....cheers

Hi,pump is a Keene.Ill shop around next time though as I was disappointed with the quality of this pump when it arrived. The pump works ok but one of the mounting bolt holes had been drilled right through into the pump body creating an ideal spot for air to hide.Should never have made it past quality control. Recently I enquired about a suitable pump for a12.5 hp briggs,3/4 shaft motor that I've got, only to be told by Pat Keene there was no such thing.......well, theres one sitting on my work bench.....hmmmmm
