He's got BIG BALLS if he's selling counterfeit goods, especially if the original supplier is form the USA. I'm looking to upgrade probably to a top of the line Whites myself soon so I'm grateful for the warning. Rank: Gold Flake Groups: Registered Joined: 7/11/2012(UTC) Posts: 24 Thanks: 4 times Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)		i brought one of him a few weeks ago, got it home and turned the unit on and it would scream on the initial settings looks like the hardest part to make is the coil and this one was not nulled propely, i think that is the term. lucky i picked it up from his house and he was between a rack and a hard place, so i got my money back BUT ME PROMISED THE REST HE WOULD SELL AND TELL PEOPLE THEY WERE FAKE. considering they are $400 on alibabba he is making a killing THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE HIM A CHRISTMAS PRESENT i have contacted whites already, and the australian company GOLD SERACH AUSTRALIA who i think sold him 2 genuine ones also on another note. Once i contacted him he offered to replace the fake with a genuine one, told me, he dosent sell them because he makes a loss so sells people fakes. there is one on trade me now. the seller is econoproducts http://www.trademe.co.nz...er/auction-544802374.htm i hope anyone else on here who knows someone who has brought one will spread the word.

Have you reported him to trademe. It is illegal to sell fakes on trademe & ebay for that matter. If anybody wants a geniuine Whites GMT I have one that I may sell. PM me if interested. Cheers JW :)

Rank: Gold Ingot Groups: Registered Joined: 7/01/2011(UTC) Posts: 789 Location: Central Otago Thanks: 33 times Was thanked: 239 time(s) in 150 post(s)		intriguing. i have a couple of questions regarding this. firstly mossop: 1. are you in competition with this fella selling junk? the reason i ask is i see you are new member. i also note you have not disclosed your location. 2. if this guy is indeed misleading people in the manner discribed, have you informed the commerce commission? 3. from how you have discribed the situation has the guy selling the machines also been mislead at some point by being supplied with fakes? does the seller know anything about detectors, i.e.. did he show you how to use it when you picked it up? 4. which leads to this question, if you sell fakes why let people pick up when you are going to see a backlash? 5. do any fake detectors actually work. if so maybe they are an alternative?! personally i think prob not but i'm curious. anyone had a fake and tried it out against a real machine? 6. i see he's selling the machines for $1100 nz. what would the genuine article retail for? i see no mention of non-genuine articles. interesting to see how this pans out. personally i would not post too much here (i.e.. name and shame type stuff) as it could blow back depending on how everyone reacts. perhaps we will hear from the party in question. always good to hear both sides of the story. maybe.
