I just have an 10 x 5" elliptical Coiltek Joey mono coil for my Minelab GPX 4500 and am playing around with getting myself a slightly larger mono coil for use over flatter ground which might give me a little bit more depth without having too large a coil.

Anyone looking to get rid of one of theirs? Let me know what you've got and how much you want for it.

Hi Gavin
I have a 11" Minelab Commander mono coil, I will trade for your 10 x 5" elliptical Coiltek Joey mono if your interested.

Also have you seen the batterys that I can get for GPX series MD they are 7.4 @ 8000aMH and I have been trilailing them and they work like a dream no harness needed and last for up to 8 hours

Using wireless headphones too? :)

That must make crashing through the bush with a minelab a much less hazardous proposition!

@Hunter - Cheers for the swap offer, but keen to keep hold of my joey as well. It's waterproof so been awesome in the creek beds when bedrock isn't too deep. I've got a Coiltek battery pack which is a little smaller than the standard Minelab one, but not much smaller. I like the Coiltek option though as it has a very convenient volume control on the end. Though your smaller battery looks like an awesome option as always annoying having so many leads from me to the detector! Thanks for posting the photos, any chance of getting a few more details about those batteries? Might have to try one myself - sounds like an awesome combo with some wireless headphones = no wires attached! Though would wireless headphones interfere with the detector?! (not sure if oroplata was joking, but not a bad idea!)

I ditched my harness a while back and have a very sexy bum bag I sling on and off as needed. I try not to let members of the public see me wearing it though :P And my mate Richie like to take the piss a bit!

@oroplata - Always jealous how light you guys metal detector setups are!!
