yep got the same pm im guessing most people have.
other forums i have visited you need to have a minimum of 5 or 10 posts before you can use the pm or email functions it may be a good idea.

Thanks for jumping on this oroplata. I've still not had time to play and see what you can / can't do so apologies about that!

In case anyone wonders why the "expert555" account is still there... Instead of deleting users I remove all their permissions to use the site and bar them for a year +. It's a bit more effective than deleting as if they want to join again it forces them through the process of creating a new email account to re-register with. Originally I'd delete users but they'd re-register with the same email address.

Regarding PM's being limited to people with a number of postings first. I might do this if it becomes a regular issue, but I want to avoid this as it just encourages new users to post 5 - 10 low value posts so they can get the PM's etc. I always find it frustrating when I join forums and they do this to me.
