Hi, I was wanting to get some help on getting my head around what you can and cant do when it comes to mining a claim with what paperwork I need to have in order?
I have an area where Im in the process of getting a mining permit from Petroleum & Minerals for it, It doesnt fall under any of Otago Reagional Councils Shedule 7 Water bodies sensitive to suction dredging, is this the only thing I need or do I still have other parties that will rape me of my money?
Any help be appreciated

Cheers Caleb

If it is public land or DOC land, you will require an access aggreement with either LINZ or DOC....And they will require a public liability insurance cover.

If ORC RMA rules permit dredging as a permitted activity and you work within those rules yo should be fine with the ORC. If you want to operate out side of the RMA rules, then you will need to go through the RMA consent process.
