I'm a keen fossicker now based in Dunedin. I've been panning for a few years in the north island and have worked a suction dredge down here. I'd like to do lots more.

When are you planning on going? I am going 4x4 driving there on Feb 12th. I'll have my gear if I get a chance to look.

How did you find Skippers? I didn't have much time to prospect but I did pick a reasonable sized flake off the rocks at Moari point.

Only had a few pans at the Shotover where the Jet boats leave from. Got a few flakes in each pan, so would be worthwhile putting the sluicebox in.

Spent a bit more time on the Arrow. Still only had the pan. A huge amount of black sand, about half of every pan was black sand. Made it hard work and not a lot of gold to show for it.
