MK More than a guess mate.....I lived on the Shore for 20 odd years and know that area well. I had an old Garrett A.D.S. Deepseeker back then but really only used it at Takapuna beach and further south at a very old military site. Never hit North Head........wish I had.

Yeah North Head would be interesting but I think it is all Defence Dept. land so probably off limits.
