No big silvers today, a few post 1946 cupro half crowns thats all.

I ended up with 16 silvers :
1 florin
2 x shillings
8 x sixpences
5 x threepences.

All were NZ types. Also got a silver hoop earing, a couple of dozen or so pre decimal coppers (several UK types) and 13 bucks in spends.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

61 coins all up

Aussie 1927 Florin (sterling)
british sterling 6d
british 1925 3d
2 shillings, 3 6d and 5 3d. One of the 1933 3d's looks VERY nice.
38 units of silver (with a 3d being 1 unit)

Also found a US quarter but was a 1966 - last silver quarters were 1964 :(

The 1948 half crown and the 1947 florin, shilling and 3d all hurt, being CuNi's.

Got my first farthing too! 1908

Good times!

Is the butterfly hallmarked Chris? If it says "C.H." among the hallmarks its another Charles Horner 1920s art deco brooch. Looks like my one I had restored. cool find.
