Hi, some of you might remember my first post on here back in may after my first night detecting in NZ at Cornwall park in Hawkes bay..well its 6 months on and i'm getting ready to head home so I thought I would post my finds from around the coasts of both islands. There is a couple of spots I will definitely be returning to in a few months...
I kept pretty much every coin I dug and because there is not much to do in a van at night (especially in winter!) I kept track of them including dates! on an excel spreadsheet---total coins =1123 only 67 of these were silvers, $312 in spendable money and I dug 3 gold rings a gold bracelet/ maybe 20 pieces of silver jewelry and countless other interesting bits and pieces. my oldest coin was 1867 and excluding the sovereigns I only need a gothic florin to finish off the collection (fingers crossed)... hagley park tonight.

I'm going to post the pennys+ 1/2 pennys and foreign stuff to Townsville where i'm moving to in Jan but I have 2.5kg of 1/2/10/20/50c pieces if any one wants them? I believe you can send 5kg packs to the reserve bank? you would need to pick them up from chch (4km from hagley).

attempting to load photos now

thanks and happy hunting

just had a quick lesson in re sizing photos!....
