hi all,just one interesting find tonight a token counterstamped over a 1797 copper penny,i think about 1840.lloyds penny sunday timesa weekly magazine in the uk.whats it doing here???.this was mega deep i could have missed this easy!now then where is my researcher andrew when you need him....cheers roy

Hi Roy. Very cool find there mate. I'm away down South this week so have been unable to catch up.......hopefully Sunday maybe?
Anyways......check the link.......http://www.mernick.org.uk/thn/tokens/19th/Lloyd.htm...........this should give you some info but there is heaps about these tokens on the Net. Apparently, they turn up in Aussie sometimes too.
