I have seem plenty of old shillings but none like this.... It has a Harp just above the date..then up the left side it looks like 3 lions and on the right 1 lion....dug this up today...along with 7 other silvers..including 2 florins.

1895-1901 design, I believe, with a similar one (with small rose) from 1893-1895.

Hey Chris..........SNAP!........dug one of those myself on Sunday. Mine's a 1901 and the first Brit Florin I've dug. I've put a pic up of it, along with my other finds from Sunday, on my prowl page.

Oops....no.......similar but mine's a two shilling (one Florin) but does have the harp and stuff.
