Greettings all, my 1st post here but have been paroozing the forum for awhile, have been across the ditch for 30 years
but home is still where the heart is. Back then i was a opossum hunter roaming around the Coromandel,
i would occasionally come across old camps in the bush with rusted out gear spread around but thought nothing more of it,
was years later when the gold bug bit me.

Once in awhile some things blow me away, so i thought i'd share a post that is on another forum that i wouldnt want you to miss.
Be ready to be gobsmacked. Hope you enjoy.
$816,000 NZ.

Cheers and Beers.... Picknshuffle.

Well worth a read.

G'day picknshuffle, Welcome to the forum. Wow. I was just looking at that exact posting last night.
On another note. You werent on Jack Langs old forum all those years ago were you? Your user name is familiar to me.

Good luck out there.

G'day JW, thanks for the welcome, but no, was not me on Jacks forum.
I did send you a pm when i joined this forum last year, me being from Whangamata too.
perhaps is why my handle rings a bell.

I'm still wowed about that lump of quartz being laden with so much gold, just amazing,
me thinks i'm going to be looking at quartz a litter closer from now on and make me a BIGGER Dolly pot.

If i'm reading the posts right on that same forum, the same prospector is truly living the dream after some
recent success in a trip to Europe as well.
