Welcome Nick

The weather looking foul this weekend on the coast (again) and water levels up though maybe its the time for the small often dry creeks. Otherwise I could be keen to team up some other time (as soon as I can get over there really).

Cheers
Andy

Mate - if you can find a dry creek over here at the present moment !!!!!!!!!
It's been like living under a frikkin waterfall lately. When and if it finally stops pissin down for a couple of days, it will be a good time to go looking. Right now you could drown an elephant in what used to be a dryish creek.
We had an ok day today, very windy with evening rain, but if the forecast could be relied on (which it can't) Tuesday is looking like it might be worth a try.
Spring is usually our wettest time and this year has been very wet, the rivers are running brown, no whitebait getting caught - as they can't swim against that much current.
I would try Otago, if you can - try again over here in a month or so, unless you can get a decent forecast.
Good luck Nuggy

Hi Nick. Welcome to the forum. If you write your post then tick the add photos box and post the post. It will then ask you for the photographs.

I stay away from the gold as I would just end up a twisted wreck. It took 500 coins to find a half crown and found 2 in the same hole! Might go out with Expat this afternoon to find a new secret location that has been loaded with coins and jewellery. We are not sure where this is, but we persist in looking. Will let everyone on the forum know where it is as soon as we have confirmed it. Bloody hard to beat Hagley though.

Cheers Metal Mikey
