DetectNZ is your new distributer of metal detecting gear in NZ.

DetectNZ is a new venture aimed at supporting the hobbyist as well as the more serious detectorist with a local source of good quality gear and accessories. Our range is based around the Minelab brand of excellent detectors that many of you will no doubt already be familiar with. We will have a selection of detectors in stock in a few days and intend to offer some pretty keen pricing deals nationwide this summer.

Initially our stock range will be:
X Terra 305 9” concentric 7.5 KHz coil Treasure and beach fun for all the family.
X Terra 705 Gold Pack 10”x 5” DD 18.75 KHz coil. Gold or treasure – you choose, it’s ready.

Excalibur II Waterproof detector with 10” coil. Beach, surf or diving. Popular world wide.
E Trac 11” DD coil standard Full of useful features. I own one myself.
CTX 3030 Standard pack with 11” DD coil Waterproof. Latest smart technology.

and of course the Minelab Pro Find 25 hand held pinpointer.

We will also have a range of accessories to support the detectors including belts, pouches and other items that are a necessity for enjoyable detecting and fossicking.

Fantastic. Now we have a minelab with a rep who actually is involved in the hobby and is not just a retailer.

Will your prices be competitive internationally like the fishers reps? Historically the minelab nz reps have been full retail and I have bought minelab stuff offshore.

Well I am really keen to be competitive so will be trying hard.
Part of the plan also is to get the after sales service more user friendly too regarding Warranty etc.

Great to have a NZ rep like mentioned before.
Dealing with a dealer is preferable to dealing with minelab directly. I found there help,,, lets say to be polite,,, less enjoyable.
