jd:

good choice.

i also have the gold bug 2.

perfect machine.

lacks depth so something like a minelab would complement it.

it's nice and light compared to the likes of the mine labs which have the extra battery harness and battery weight.

i have seen these find the smallest crumbs of gold so if you learn how to use it it will find gold.

it was the gold bug 2 i found the half oz nugget with. while the gb2 usually has stuff all depth i got this nugget at at least twice the depth it would usually pick a signal at. was just the slightest buzz. lesson = dig every target. if the signal is really deep and keeps getting louder and louder get super excited. and hope its not a bullet. one day it won't be.

Hi there, If you are really serious about finding gold then get the best gold detector ever made. a minelab pulse induction detector & forget about the VLF's. The later the model you can afford the better, but any from the GP extreme onwards depending on your budget. You may struggle to get one in NZ but you can check out ebay or detector dealers/suppliers in Aussie for 2nd hand units that people have traded in to upgrade to a later model.

Ever find a gold nugget? Large amounts of people want to find and possess the gold nugget, but it i sreally hard if you don't use a tool to hep you find such kind of precious metal as they are always buried underground and it is hard for you to know where they are and how deep you should dig. And that is the main reason that why the spam link -> www. detectorall .com/categories/Gold-Metal-Detectors/ <- spam link was invented and have help people a lot in hunting for gold nugget, and it seems the gold metal detector is realy an reliable device.

Very interesting! Very very interesting! Where are your 'minelab' detectors made?

Let me positively assure you that the BEST detectors to buy are the ones manufactured by REPUTABVLE companies like Garrett, Whites, Minelab, Fisher - and out here in the land of K1W1s the wee Goldbug and Goldbug2 and the mInelab really rule supreme and any parallel import is about as much respected as a plastic bag full of Bullshit and Jellybeans.

I think that you have got as much luck sucking in the members of this forum as you have pushing butter up a camels arse with a red hot scimitar.

Now I think it sort of smells of rats that I was approached just a couple of days ago by a wombat who had just joined our forum to sell him our metal detectors cheaply - he mislead me by making himself out as thick as two short planks or a sandwich short of a picnic and when I told him I was going to get Interpol to investigate him his grammar suddenly improved and he informed me he had a post grad diploma in Computer studies...or something. Actually I wasnt impressed because you can get any degree you want for a small fee on Internet. Now this Arab said he was in the Sudan - and you? You say that you are in Algeria.

Methinks that in the last week two new members claim that they are from North Africa...very interesting...and both seem to have unhealthy interests in dealing with us in relationship to Metal detectors - You mat be genuine but then again vigilantes dont usually care who they hang as long as they hang someone!

What did you say your post graduate diploma is in? The only thing I agreed with is your statement 'it i sreally hard if you don't use a tool' - my wife wont let me use my tool anymore as shes got too many kids already - what does sreally mean please?

Lammerlaw: Forget about writing that autobiography everybody is suggesting you do. Instead you should publish a collection of your quotes!! :-)

I am reliably informed that the best way to insert a decent amount of butter into a camel, is to get a set of bagpipes, fill the bag with softened butter, block up all the holes, except one. Insert the one into the appropriate orifice, then make the camel sit heavily upon the bagpipe bag. The camel will emit a pleasant musical sound much like that made by bagpipes - if the transfer is successful. The use of scimitars and metal probes for this process is inhumane and inefficient, and may result in prosecution.
Your camel is now loaded and ready for one of the many uses a butter butt loaded camel can be put to. NUGGY

Andy - I have been wondering if there is some sort of working relationship with Mr Metalprobes product as the'probe' part quite likely refers to camels arses

NUGGY - For your interest taken from the Darwin awards; -
1998, Paderborn, Germany | Overzealous zookeeper Friedrich Riesfeldt fed his constipated elephant, Stefan, 22 doses of animal laxative and more than a bushel of berries, figs and prunes before the plugged-up pachyderm finally let fly -- and suffocated the keeper under 200 pounds of poop! Investigators say ill-fated Friedrich, 46, was attempting to give the ailing elephant an olive oil enema when the relieved beast unloaded on him like a dump truck full of mud.

"The sheer force of the elephant's unexpected defecation knocked Mr. Riesfeldt to the ground, where he struck his head on a rock and lay unconscious as the elephant continued to evacuate his bowels on top of him," said flabbergasted Paderborn police detective Erik Dern. "With no one there to help him, he lay under all that dung for at least an hour before a watchman came along, and during that time he suffocated. "It seems to be just one of those freak accidents that happen."

Yep, if it's volume you're looking for - then elephants are the way to go, no other land animal is going to yield a 200 pound dump. The mistake the keeper made was using olive oil, it's just too liquid and fast acting - leaving no time to leap back out of the way. Butter on the other hand has to melt to realize it's full potential, giving plenty of time to move away from the target zone.
