Hi guys, Went out for a couple of hours after work to some old sluiced workings & got just the one piece. Had on the Nugget Finder 12 x 7 mono coil. Wasnt doing good at all, I kicked off a few rocks that were sitting on the bedrock on the top edge of a drop off in to a tail race. I then thought I heard a very faint blimp on the threshold but I was having a bit of trouble with EMI so the detector was running a bit noisy. I scraped away at the loose material & the signal got more positive. I was then down to schist bedrock up on edge. Smashed in to this & dragged out the broken up schist. The signal was now sounding very promising. A few more scrape outs of the crevice & the signal was out. It was a .5 gram piece.
