I'd be bloody excited to find that with a pan in 3 hours. If you had a little sluice box you'd have 10 times that, probably for less effort too.
Now that would be an even more splendid result.

Good to see you taking a bit of time off from swinging that coil.

Yeah haha I did take the whites XLT with me for prospecting but didn't have time to get it out and go wandering. Theres not a lot here it's pretty flakey stuff....I did put 5 buckets through my sluice but with no classifier I found it to be too time consuming sorting out the flow and blockages....I panned some of this from that sluice concentrate last night but it was very minimal as to what I was finding by test panning a few different places. Only the second time I've been and done panning but have learnt heaps of good advice from all the good buggers on here...it def paid off knowing a few tricks I wish I could do it all day every day...ya can't beat being out in the wop wops!

You hit the nail on the head when you said just being out there - that is the main object I think.

As for the gold - I guess that finding it is the bonus - the icing on the cake and a little is better than nothing.

I think you have done OK - good going and great to see it and also remember that it mounts up.
